Hiya people. This year we are celebrating it next Friday 18 July. Below are the details. I need volunteers before we vote for any persons to do it. Jonas, Li Wee, Eugene and Jay, you are placed in charge. Remember with buddies coming in next week, i think it's only nice that we should showcase such diversity. Not attempting to be fake of course. My only problem, sourcing out Chinese costumes coz a lot of you wear modern clothers for celebrations..We better start scouting now. Plus we should probably discuss this on the bus tomorrow.
Theme : Many Faces, One Singapore Costume competition for students - 4 students per class - there will be two categories : lower secondary classes upper secondary classes - each student will wear the traditional costume of another race (for example, a Chinese will wear baju kurung, an Indian will wear the Chinese costume etc) - these students will stand in front of their classes - the judges will walk around to judge on their costumes - only the classes that has 4 participants each will receive 20 points - those with less than 4 participants will automatically be disqualified - the prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd costume for both categories will be given on the spot - the accumulated points will be announced later - 1st : 50 points for each costume - 2nd : 40 points for each costume - 3rd : 30 points for each costume
